Local Market Tour
The downtown market is “must see” place where traders display items such as artwork, clothing and souvenirs for sale. Light refreshments such as smoothies and locally made ginger beer are available.
The lighthouse was established in 1852 and still guards the northern tip of Grand Turk. The lighthouse and the keeper’s house is a prized historic site and is protected by the National Trust.
The Salt House is a historic landmark dating back to the days of the salt industry. Replicas of items from the salt industry are available for purchase as the salt pans and windmills stand guard.
A trip to the Turks & Caicos National Museum will reveal the story of the Molasses Reef Wreak (the oldest European Ship Wreak) amongst other exhibits of the country’s rich cultural and natural history.
